Atablivo is developed and operated by Voorwaarts Beheer B.V. (Wim Aarts), Martinetstraat, 5751 KR Deurne, the Netherlands ("we", "us"). For the purposes of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.

When you set up your profile — dietary preferences, allergies and their severity, dislikes, kitchen equipment, region, dinner size, and any freeform notes — it is stored only in your app's local storage on your own device. We do not receive or store a copy of it on our servers unless you take one of the actions below.
When you request a suggestion, the diets, allergies, dislikes, and any notes you've entered (not your name) are sent to our server, which forwards them to Anthropic's Claude AI to generate a proposed recipe. We do not keep a copy of what was requested or of what comes back; the server only passes it on while your request is being processed, and double-checks the result against your allergies and dislikes at that moment.
If you host a dinner, we create an event tied to a private token only you hold. Guests who open your invite link submit the name or alias they choose to type, their diets, allergies (with severity), dislikes, and optional notes — this is shown to you, the host, in full, so you can see who is allergic to what. When you (the host) request a meal proposal, this information is sent to Anthropic to generate it; guest names are removed before that request is sent.
Photos and notes you attach to a saved dish stay on your device. They are only shared when you choose to share them, for example through WhatsApp or a social-media post, and are never uploaded to our servers.
The feedback portal at react.atablivo.com shows posts, votes and replies publicly. Posts are stored on our server together with their votes, but without a name or account. Please do not include personal data in a post.
We keep anonymous daily counts (for example the number of suggestions requested or invitations viewed) and the number of wallets and credits, to run and improve the service. These cannot be linked to a person.
On iOS, Atablivo is distributed through Apple's App Store; on Android, through Google Play. Apple and Google each process the data needed to deliver, install, and update the app on your device (such as your device identifier and download history) under their own privacy policies as independent controllers — this happens outside the app itself and isn't something we have visibility into.
Each device gets an anonymous credit wallet identified by a randomly generated token — not linked to your name, email, or any account. On iOS, buying credits goes through Apple's own in-app purchase system (StoreKit) — Apple is the merchant of record for that transaction and processes your payment details under its own privacy policy; we only receive confirmation that a purchase was made and its amount, never your card details. On Android and web, buying credits opens Stripe's own hosted checkout page in your browser; we never see or store your card details there either — Stripe processes your payment details under its own privacy policy as an independent controller for that transaction.
If you invite a friend, your wallet gets a random invite code. When your friend opens the invite link in the app, their wallet is linked to that code. If your friend buys credits within 30 days, both wallets receive 25 extra credits. We only store the two anonymous wallet tokens, the dates and whether the reward was paid, never names or contact details.
If you use the "move to another device" feature, your profile is stored temporarily as an unreadable blob under a one-time link, and is permanently deleted the moment it's opened on your other device (or automatically after 15 minutes if never opened).
We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising — Atablivo has no advertising or analytics integrations at all.
A credit wallet is an anonymous token stored on your device, not an account tied to your name or identity. That has a few real consequences worth knowing before you buy credits.
Because we cannot identify who a wallet belongs to, we have no way to restore your credits if your device is lost or reset, or if the app's data is cleared. This works differently on each platform: on Android, uninstalling the app deletes the wallet along with it; on iOS, the wallet is usually kept safe and restored automatically if you reinstall the app on the same device (thanks to how Apple's Keychain works), but it does not carry over to a different device.
Since we can't verify who made a purchase, we are not able to issue refunds ourselves. On iOS, refunds for credit purchases are handled entirely through Apple's own refund process; on Android and web, refunds go through Stripe/your card issuer, as covered above. Either way, credits already spent on a suggestion cannot be recovered.
Credits are digital content that is delivered to your wallet immediately once payment completes. Under EU consumer law, by confirming your purchase you explicitly agree to that immediate delivery, and you thereby waive the standard 14-day right of withdrawal that would otherwise apply to an online purchase.
Both purchased and free (signup bonus) credits expire two years after they're added to your wallet.
To keep the maximum possible loss from an unrecoverable situation (see above) bounded for everyone, we cap how many credits a single wallet may hold — currently around 1600. A purchase that would push your balance above this limit is rejected before you're asked to pay.
Since most of your data already lives on your own device, you already have direct access to it, and can export it at any time as a plain text/markdown file from the Profile tab. For data held on our servers (an active group dinner you're part of), you may ask us to delete it by contacting us below. If you're in the EU/EEA, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority — in the Netherlands, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
All traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted (HTTPS/TLS). We use anonymous, unguessable tokens instead of passwords or accounts. No system is perfectly secure, but Atablivo is designed from the ground up to simply not collect most of what would make a breach meaningful — there's no central database of names, emails, or passwords to lose.
Atablivo is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 16.
We may update this policy as the app changes. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
Meal suggestions are generated by an AI model based on the preferences, allergies, and dislikes entered into the app. While Atablivo applies automated filtering to try to keep suggested ingredients consistent with stated allergies and restrictions, AI-generated suggestions can be wrong or incomplete, and Atablivo does not guarantee that any suggestion is safe, accurate, or suitable for any particular person — including with respect to allergens, intolerances, or other dietary or medical needs.
Atablivo is a planning and inspiration tool, not medical or dietary advice. The person actually shopping for, preparing, and serving a meal (the "cook") is solely responsible for verifying every ingredient and for the safety and suitability of the final dish — including checking product labels, cross-contamination risk, and confirming with each guest directly about any allergy or restriction, regardless of what was entered into the app.
The app is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, and to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim liability for any harm, illness, or loss arising from reliance on a suggestion generated through the app.
